LeafRanger
Email only, and answered by one of two people

Write to us and a person reads it

There’s no call centre and no ticket robot, because there are two of us — we’re not going to pretend a phone line exists when nobody would be there to pick it up. Everything comes to support@leafranger.com, or through the form below.

Tell us what’s happened

The more specific you are, the fewer rounds this takes. If it’s about an order, the shop’s name and roughly when you ordered saves us both a message.

Something's broken in the app

Tell us what you did and what happened instead. A screenshot is worth three paragraphs.

An order or a shop

Try the shop first — they packed it and can fix it fastest. If they've gone quiet, that's ours.

A wrong plant record

The species and what's wrong with it. These reach everyone who owns that plant, so they matter.

How long we take

Two people, and a clock we hold ourselves to

within 48 hours

Acknowledged

You'll get a human reply confirming we have it — not an automated ticket number.

a few days

Most things resolved

App problems and order questions usually take one or two exchanges.

within one month

Formal grievances

The outer limit we hold ourselves to for a complaint that needs a decision.

The first two are what we aim for. The third is a legal obligation for a registered grievance, and we’d rather publish it than have you discover it in a rulebook.

If it isn’t resolved

Four steps, and the last one isn’t us

Most companies stop this list at step three. The fourth exists in law whether we print it or not, and hiding it would only waste your time.

01

Ask the shop

For anything about an order. They packed it and can put it right fastest — most problems end here.

02

Come to us

Email support@leafranger.com if the shop has gone quiet, or if it's the app rather than an order.

03

Raise a formal grievance

Write to legal@leafranger.com and say it's a grievance. It's acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within one month.

04

Go outside us

You can take it to the National Consumer Helpline (1915) or a consumer commission. That right exists whatever we say, so we'd rather you knew about it.

On the named Grievance Officer: Indian e-commerce rules require one to be named here with contact details, and ours goes up before the marketplace takes a single order. We’re not putting a placeholder name on a page people would rely on. Until then, grievances go to legal@leafranger.com and are handled on the same clock.

Where we stop

Four things we won’t help with

Saying “we’ll look into it’ when we can’t is worse than saying no — it costs you the time you should have spent asking someone who can.

  • Veterinary emergenciesIf an animal has eaten something, ring a vet — not us. We won't offer a remedy or a list of symptoms, because both cost time and some do real harm.
  • Identifying plants for legal or foraging purposesDon't eat anything on the strength of a phone identification. Ours or anyone's.
  • Another shop's dispatch timesShops set and own their delivery. We step in when one keeps failing — we can't make a specific parcel move faster.
  • Anything about a payment cardWe never see card details. A card problem is between you and your bank or the payment provider.
Before you write

Things people ask about getting in touch

Why isn't there a phone number?
Because there are two of us, and a number nobody could answer is worse than no number. Email reaches the same people a phone line would, and it leaves a record we can both refer back to.
How quickly will somebody reply?
Within 48 hours you'll hear from a person acknowledging it. Most things are sorted in a couple of exchanges after that; a formal grievance is resolved within one month, which is the limit we're held to.
My order hasn't arrived. Do I contact you or the shop?
The shop first — they packed it and can act on it fastest. Come to us if they've gone quiet, or if the same shop keeps letting people down, because that part is ours to deal with.
How do I make a formal complaint rather than just ask a question?
Email us and say it's a grievance. That puts it on the statutory clock: acknowledged within 48 hours, resolved within one month. You don't need a special form or particular wording.
What if I'm not satisfied with how you handled it?
You can take it to the National Consumer Helpline on 1915, or to a consumer commission. That right exists whatever our policy says, so we'd rather tell you about it than have you discover it later.
Can you help identify a plant over email?
The app does that far better than we can by eye, and it's free. What we do want by email is a plant record that's wrong — those affect everyone who owns that species, not just you.
How do I ask for my data, or have my account closed?
Email the legal address and say which you want. Being straight about today's limits: closing an account revokes access immediately but doesn't yet erase every row, and the data export doesn't produce a file yet. Both are unfinished and listed as such.
Do you accept press or partnership enquiries here?
Yes, same inbox. Nothing has launched, so there's less to talk about than you might hope — but we'd rather say that than leave you waiting on a reply.
