Shipping & Delivery Policy

Last updated 30 July 2026 · Operated by Country Devs LLP, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India – 560001

LeafRanger is a marketplace. The shop you bought from packs and posts your order — not us — and sets its own delivery times, costs and destinations. This page explains how that works and what you can hold whom to.

1. Who actually ships it

The seller ships your order. Country Devs LLP operates the marketplace and takes the payment; the independent shop holds the stock, packs the parcel and hands it to a carrier. Your contract of sale is with them.

Our part is to make sure their delivery terms are shown before you buy, and to act when a shop repeatedly fails to meet them — including warning and then suspending it.

2. Where we deliver

LeafRanger is available worldwide, but each shop decides where it ships. Every listing states the countries the seller posts to, and you will not be able to check out with an address they do not serve.

Live plants are the most restricted: many countries prohibit importing plants or soil without a phytosanitary certificate, so most growers sell domestically only. That is a legal constraint rather than a commercial choice.

3. Two shops, two parcels

If your basket contains items from more than one shop, it becomes a separate order for each shop, off a single payment. Each has its own delivery window, its own tracking, and its own shipping cost.

They are separate businesses in different places. Presenting them as one parcel would only make the delivery estimate a lie.

4. Delivery windows

  • The window shown on the listing is the seller’s, and it is the one they are held to.
  • It starts when the order is paid, not when it is placed.
  • Sellers are expected to dispatch within the window they published, and to cancel promptly if they cannot — a cancellation before dispatch is refunded in full.
  • Windows are estimates from the carrier, not guarantees. Weather, customs and public holidays affect them.

5. Shipping costs

Shipping is set by the seller and shown before you pay — there are no charges added afterwards. Where a basket spans two shops, you will see each shop’s shipping separately, because each is posting its own parcel.

6. Sending living things

Plants are not ordinary parcels, and good growers treat them differently:

  • Sellers are expected to hold a dispatch back rather than post into a heatwave or a freeze. A delayed plant is better than a dead one.
  • Plants often arrive looking tired — drooping, a yellow lower leaf, some soil movement. That is normal transit stress and usually resolves within a fortnight.
  • Crushed growth, snapped stems, mould, or a plant that is clearly dead are not normal. Photograph it and tell us within 48 hours.
  • Unpack on arrival, even if you cannot pot it up straight away.

7. Tracking your order

Each order moves through a small number of visible states — placed, paid, shipped, delivered, or cancelled. You can see which one it is at, per shop, in the app. Where the carrier provides tracking, the seller adds it at dispatch.

8. Late, lost or damaged

  1. Ask the shop first. They have the carrier reference and can chase it.
  2. Come to us at support@leafranger.com if they have not replied within 48 hours, or if the window has clearly passed.
  3. Anything lost or damaged is refunded — see the Cancellation & Refund Policy for how and when.

9. Customs and duties

On an international order, any import duty, tax or inspection fee is the buyer’s responsibility unless the listing says otherwise. Those charges are set by your own country and are not visible to us or to the seller at checkout.

If a shipment is held or destroyed by customs because your country prohibits importing that plant, that is not a fault the seller can be held to — please check your country’s rules before ordering plants from abroad.
